Client Greeting / Front Office

Upon arrival at Spencer Animal Hospital you will
be greeted by one of our friendly, caring receptionists who will
pull or create a patient record. She will then initiate your pet's
visit by routing you and your pet to one of our animal health care
specialists.

Patient Records
|
Maintenance of your pet's ongoing health record is
a critical component of complete animal health care. A well maintained
records system allows us to remind you of health needs and recall
your pet as necessary for its total well-being.

Physical Exam
|
 |
Your pet's physical examination will take place in
one of our examination rooms. The process will be carried out by
one of our doctors assisted by
various members of our health care
team.

Laboratory
|
Several potential health problems that affect healthy
pets, as well as many animal illnesses require that patients be
monitored by routine laboratory tests. Our on-site lab is fully
capable of performing these tests.

In most cases where more extensive laboratory testing
is needed, Spencer Animal Hospital will also be fully capable of
performing most tests on-site. This on-site capability decreases
turnaround time and allows us to more quickly begin any necessary
therapy

Surgery Service
|
Our surgical service offers a wide range of procedures.
Every surgical procedure begins with a thorough pre-surgical physical
exam.

Surgical procedures offered vary from the more commonly
performed "routine" procedures, to more advanced techniques.
Orthopedics(bone and joint), ophthalmic(eye), oncological(tumor
removal) and abdominal procedures are among procedures performed.

Most surgical procedures require general anesthesia.
General anesthesia always involves an element of risk. At Spencer
Animal Hospital, risk is minimized by using dedicated monitoring
technique and proven products.

Radiological Imaging
|

Spencer Animal Hospital's on-site diagnostic full
service radiology department features state of the art digital radiography.
We can provide any necessary x-rays in short order to facilitate
diagnosis.

Pharmacy
|
Our pharmacy will usually provide necessary medications
for your pet from a stock of dozens of prescription items.
|

Dispensing
|
 |
We have available for dispensing many products for
your pet's health. These include prescription diets and nutritional
supplements. We also carry flea and tick control products, heartworm
preventatives, therapeutic shampoos and topical skin conditioners.

Boarding
|
We offer two levels of boarding service at Spencer
Animal Hospital for our client's pets. Boarded pets are housed in
sanitized compartments and exercised regularly. (more)
